Do I Need To Be Married To Adopt

Adopting a child is a tremendous responsibility. It is more complicated than becoming pregnant because there is a second party involved. Instead of dealing with pregnancy cravings, remembering to take prenatal vitamins, and gaining weight, a person adopting has to handle finding an agency, paperwork, and suspense. It-s always stressful when adopting a child because anything can happen between the mother deciding not to give up her child or financial costs could add up to be too much. I absolutely do not think you have to be married to adopt children. People who are not married, do not have a career, or are under the age of 18 are having babies constantly. To adopt a child means that you are financially, emotionally, and physically stable. You are ready to take on the demands of a child and provide for them like they are your own. Whether you are single or in a relationship, as long as you are prepared to take on the challenge of raising a child and meet the requirements of the agency then you can adopt. Adopting a child is acknowledging the fact that you have to love and take care of the child as if he or she is yours. Being married does not matter at all. My mother took care of me and my two sisters by herself after my father passed away. She loved us, nurtured us, and was one of the best moms ever. This is proof that it is unnecessary to have two parents constantly in a child-s life for them to grow up adequately. Children are a gift. People who adopt children are a gift as well! Mothers who are unable to take care of the children they birthed are thankful for those who adopt whether they are single or married!
