Step Parent Adoption

A Child's Waiting Adoption Agency works collaboratively with families to facilitate a step parent adoption home study. A licensed adoption agency assessor will make one home visit and interview everyone in the household including the child. The adoption home study report will be completed within 2 weeks of the initial contact. In addition to composing the step parent home study, our agency will obtain background information about the step parent including a current medical report, personal and employer references, a background check, and a child abuse clearance report. This information will be summarized in the adoption home study report. The fee for an adoption home study is $500.
