Mari was born in Panama on 12-19-95 and has been in the USA for almost 10 months. She is still learning the language and this sometimes frustrates her. She was abandoned at a hospital when she was three years old. Her current family structure is that of a single parent. She feels ill- prepared to continue to parent an older child.

She is currently in the 6 th grade with ESL support. She enjoys school but will need a lot of assistence in catching up. Mari gets along well with other children and wants to please adults.

Mari enjoys sports especially bowling, computers, coloring, and hide and seek.

Mari hasn’t had the chance to adapt to US culture, language and family life. She needs a home where she can learn what is expected of a young lady as well as a family committed to the bonding process. Mari has potential in the right family of become a truly special person.
