Amy was born in Russia on 11-13-94 and has been in the USA since 2002. She was in the orphanage after her mother passed away and her grandmother who was caring for her could not longer. Amy was in the orphanage for approximately 4 years before being adopted. She was placed with one family and that placement disrupted. In that home, she was angry and could be oppositional. She has been diagnosed with RAD and ODD.
Amy has had much upheaval and inconsistency. She was readopted by the second family in October 2006. In the second home, she has continued to show attachment symptoms although she does well in all setting except the home. The current family feels that she would do best in a new home.
Amy in the 7 th grade and receives excellent grades. She is well liked by her peers and does great with younger children. She loves to be active and enjoy the same things typical teens enjoy.
Amy needs to be in a family that will commit to her and help her understand her value as a person.
