Alan was born in Russia on 7/24/93. He was adopted when he was 11 and brought to the USA along with his two younger siblings. He has one older sister that is still in Russia.
Alan is a healthy child that
has had surgery to correct lazy eye. He wears lenses
to correct his vision as well as braces for his teeth.
He is currently homeschooled and is in the 6th grade.
He is very intelligent but is two grades behind due
to ESL. He plays well with other children and enjoys
being around adults. He has a good sense of humor, is
kind and helpful, and his current family reports that
he has great potential.
During the
last year, Alan has been able to identify past problem
areas and has been able to work past them. He is able
to say that he is sorry when he makes a mistake and
will put forth effort to make positive changes afterwards.
He has been mentored by older males from church and
this has helped him enormously.
Outdoor activities, bird watching and playing on the playground are a few of the things that Alan enjoys. He likes working outside on chores, has a good athletic ability and enjoys playing the piano.
